In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bob) Hamilton; one sister,  Nellie Jean Kelly; and one brother, Kelly McCall.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Burnette and husband David of Bristol, TN, and Debbie Cross and husband David of Bristol, VA; two brothers, David McCall and Jackie McCall and wife Margie, all of Abingdon; four grandchildren, Renee Daugherty and husband Jimmie, Alyson Nerren and husband Steve, Todd Cross and wife Jessica, and Tyler Burnette and wife Alicia; four great-grandchildren, Grace, Cooper, Griffin, and Emma; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 7, 2019, at 8:00 P.M. at Greendale Chapel with Rev. Jerry A. Eggers officiating.  The family will receive friends at the Church from 6:30 P.M. until time of the funeral service.  Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. at Knollkreg Memorial Park.  Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 A.M.  Grandsons and Men of Greendale Chapel will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.  Special thanks is extended to Barbara’s brother, David McCall, and her two daughters, Kathy and Deb, for the excellent care given to her.  The family would like to thank the staff at Caris Health and Hospice Care and to Susie McConnell for the wonderful care she received.  In keeping with Barbara’s love for children, it is suggested that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Pl, Memphis, TN  38105-9959 in Barbara Hamilton’s memory.
