Ardith Slagle

Ardith Jean Slagle, 83, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019, at Johnston Memorial Hospital.

She was born February 23, 1936, to the late Roby and Charlotte Roberts. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Barkley King Slagle; sisters, Ruth Hibbitt, Nell Roberts and Grace Fritz; and brothers, Ron and Don Roberts.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are her son, Eric Slagle; sisters, Lillian Gentry, Rose Barrett and Sharon Blackburn (Jerry); brother, Jack Roberts and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2019, at Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dwayne Dillard officiating.  Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
