Blaine W. Baum of Bristol, Virginia, passed away peacefully at home on March 14, 2025.
He was born on August 25, 1946, to William and Metta Baum.
Blaine spent his early years in Heber City, Utah, where he developed a lifelong love of the outdoors and adventure. He was an Eagle Scout who earned all the Eagle Palms, a quarterback on his high school football team, and a member of the National Ski Patrol. He enjoyed hunting and horseback riding with his brother Phil and his family.
He graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and built a successful international career in robotics. Beyond his professional achievements, Blaine had a passion for restoring antique cars and was an avid golfer. He spent many years as a ranger at Clear Creek Golf Course, where he was a beloved part of the community.
Blaine is survived by his wife of fifty years, Linda Baum, and their three daughters, Keri, Amanda, and Emilee. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
All services will be held privately.
