Carol Elaine Horn Hall

Carol Elaine Horn Hall, age 77, left this life peacefully on Friday, November 24, 2023 at University of Tennessee Medical Center after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.

Carol was born to the late Roy Horn and Nora Hawks-Horn in North Tazewell, Virginia. She was a pharmacy technician for many years at various pharmacies, but retired to devote all she could to her husband whose health was declining. She currently attended Central Baptist Church and occasionally, Green Spring Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her loving husband, Lowry Hall; sisters, Beverly Bowman, Delores Franklin, and Joyce Wolfe; brothers, Robert Horn and Donald Hawks; brother-in-law, Charles Hall; and sister-in-law, Sandra Wimmer.

Those left to cherish her memory are her granddaughters, Lynsey Massie and husband Ross and Emily Hall; grandsons, Tyler Deel and Alex Hall and his wife Tabitha; son, Lynn Hall and wife April; great-grandchildren Bentley, Bailee, Morgan, Hadley and Hayden, brothers, Roy Horn Jr. and Bill Horne and wife Rose; sisters-in-law, Barbara Quesenberry and Karen Eldreth; and brother-in-law, Ricky Hall; along with several nieces and nephews.

Carol was a loving wife, stepmother, grandmother and great grandmother whose home was always open to all. She loved spending time watching children swim and make memories. Carol was an avid gardener whose flowers were always beautiful. She spent several years alongside her husband as a member of the Green Spring Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and continued to support the department even after his passing. She was always available and willing to lend a helping hand in any capacity when ever asked.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Sunday, November 26, 2023 in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Les Ketron officiating. Interment will follow in Green Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alex Hall, Tyler Deel, Ross Massie, Noah Tweed, Eric Wimmer, Hunter Pridemore and Mike Pridemore. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Hall, Wayne Wimmer and the members of Green Spring Fire and Rescue.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carol’s honor to The American Cancer Society.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the UT Medical and Cancer Center for the special care given to Carol.
