Clyde William Ray

Saltville, VA. Clyde William Ray, 75, of North Fork River Road section, went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 31, 2019. Mr. Ray was born March 28, 1944 to the late Richard and Stella Tuggle Ray. Clyde was a lifelong resident of the area. He was an avid outdoorsman, who will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Temple Worley and Mary Ann Worley; two brothers, Mack Ray and wife Dorothy and Robert Lee Ray and wife Barbara. Survivors include, his loving wife of 50 years, Shirley Deloris Ray; children, Kristi White of Saltville, Angela and husband Tim Wise of Marietta, GA, Chad and fiancé Charisma of Emory, VA., and Brad Ray of Saltville, VA.; one brother, Richard and wife Jewel Ray of Saltville, VA.; two sisters, Linda and husband Alvin Casey of Saltville, VA., and Audrey and husband Bobby Casey of Meadowview, VA.; two brothers-in-law, James and Calvin Worley of Glade Spring, VA.; seven grandchildren, Nina and husband Drew Lester, Andrea Jones, Dakota Ray, Ethan Wise, Abigail Ray, Kacie Ray, and Shay Campbell; Also several nieces and nephews, extended family and numerous friends. Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 7 PM Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Frost Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12 PM Thursday, April 4, 2019 in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roger O’Quinn officiating. A committal service will follow at Fall Hill Cemetery.
