Diana Mae Parsons Austin

Diana Mae Parsons Austin, born on January 12, 1950, in Harlan, KY, passed away peacefully on September 27,2024 leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henrey and Evelyn Parsons; and two brothers, Gary and Richard Parson.


Diana was the beloved wife of Bill Austin, with whom she shared many wonderful years while operating their own business until his passing. Together, they created a life filled with love and shared dreams.


Diana had a deep passion for horses, and her love for these magnificent animals was a significant part of her life. She resided in Abingdon for 32 years, where she embraced her role as a devoted homemaker, nurturing her family and creating a warm, loving home. Diana was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.


She was a proud mother to three children: Jason Cisco and wife Cherie, Michelle (Shelly) Pinheior and husband Nilton, Nicole (Niki) Cisco. Diana’s family was her greatest treasure, and she cherished her eight grandchildren: Casey, Madison, Daniel, Jamie, Bryson, Aleah, Molly, and Briella; her one great-grandchild, Kara Evelynn Cisco-Woolard; and one unborn grandson Emanuel Isaiah Pinheior.


Diana will be remembered for her kind spirit, unwavering love, and the joy she brought to those around her. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed.


A graveside service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Greendale Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Rogerson officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the Cemetery by 11:45 A.M.


There will also be a visitation and a memorial service at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Visitation is to start at 2:00 P.M. with the service to follow at 3:00 P.M.
