Marvin Raymond Reynolds, 87, of Abingdon, Va., was welcomed into the kingdom of heaven on Monday, February 1, 2021.
He was born October 6, 1933, in Washington County, Va., to the late John H. and Laura Reynolds. Including his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Loretta M. Reynolds; one sister, Minnie Nunley; and three brothers, Paul Reynolds, Warden Reynolds and James Reynolds.
He was retired from VDOT after 38 plus years of service. He was greatly admired by all of his family and friends.
Marvin is survived by two sons, Neal Reynolds and wife, Glenna and Ira A. Reynolds and wife, Patricia; five daughters, Peggy Fannon and husband, John, Wanda Jenkins, Judy Wise and husband, Bobby, Debbie Wise and husband, Bradley, Ithena Powers and husband, Michael; one sister, Beulah Nunley; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren with one on the way.
Visitation will be from 1 to 1:45 p.m., on Thursday, February 4, 2021, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., in the chapel with Rev. Roger Hearl and Rev. Eddie Gobble officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Michael Powers, John Fannon, Bradley Wise, Darin Wise, Alex Jenkins and Stephon Wise. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Martin, Guy Wise, Rev. Jason Nunley and Rev. Lyons Smith.
In accordance with COVID-19 regulations, all those attending services are asked to wear face coverings and follow social distancing guidelines.
