Ola Jean Greer, 88, went to be with the Lord on May 27, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 19, 1932 to the late K.E. and Liddy Harris Rutledge. She loved making quilts, sewing, and especially spending time with her favorite K-9 companion, Nitro.
Including her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Greer; two brothers, Lloyd Rutledge and Carrol Rutledge.
Survivors include son, Edward Greer of Abingdon, VA.; daughter, Lois Kelly of Damascus, VA.; one sister, Lois Ann Thompson of Bluff City, TN.; one brother, Charles Rutledge of Blountville, TN.; also, several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. William Handy and caregiver Jennie Chapman.
Visitation will be held from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Frost Funeral Home. A service will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, May 30, 2021 in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Rowlette officiating with a committal service following to Sunset Memorial Park in Damascus, VA.
Serving as pallbearers will be Anthony Thompson, Bobby Epperson, Gary Rasnake, Lacy “Buzz” Wright, Billy Clark, and Luke Earts.
