Sandra Wimmer ,77, of Abingdon, Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 04, 2018, at Bristol Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
She was born August 25, 1941 to the late Harold and Oma Hall of Abingdon, Va. She was a lifelong member of Green Spring Presbyterian Church where she served and helped on many different committees. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was known as Nana to all.
Including her parents she is preceded in death by, two brothers, Charles “Tiny” Hall and Lowry Hall; one brother-in-law, Bill Quesenberry.
Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Jerry Wimmer; one son, Wayne Wimmer and fiancé Billie; three daughters, Michelle Wimmer, Melissa Eller and husband Eric, and Monica Hayden; one brother, Ricky Hall and wife Linda; two sisters, Barbara Quesenberry, Karen Eldreth and husband Jerry; five grandchildren, Eric and wife Jess, Shonna and husband Matt, Audriana, Jarred and Olivia; three great grandchildren, Colton, Caiden and Tessa; also many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wimmer will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Green Spring Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jon Martin officiating, with burial following in the Green Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Green Spring Presbyterian Church. Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Eller, Matt Morenings, Lynn Hall, Shane Hall, Bryan Quesenberry, and Sam Morenings. Honorary pallbearers will be Green Spring Fire Department.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Green Spring Memorial Fund 22007 Green Spring Church Rd. Abingdon, Va. 24211.
