Broken hearted, tears flowing. No words are strong enough for the moment we have to say goodbye to the one we love. Viola Mae Manuel McCracken, of Meadowview, Va., was born December 1, 1939, and went to be with the Lord on November 11, 2018, at the age of 79.
She was preceded in death by her husband, “Tack” Thomas Clifton McCracken; father, Lindsey Manuel and mother, Bertha Manuel; four brothers, and two sisters.
She is survived by one son, Thomas McCracken, Jr.; three daughters, Debbie Campbell and husband David, Virginia Gross and husband Rick and Georgia Bishop and husband Raymond; one sister, Sue Butler; one brother, Roy Manuel; one granddaughter, Kristina Clark and husband Jake; six grandsons, D.J. Campbell and wife Jaimie, Charlie McCracken and wife Bridget, Riley Mumpower, Calvin Mumpower, Robbie McCracken and Mikey McCracken; ten great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a very special friend, Retta Conner.
A special thank you is expressed to nurse, Jennifer Doss for her care.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be David Campbell, Johnny Hicks, Shug McCracken, Steve Bare, Jeff Smith and Frank Sullins.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2018, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dan Birchfield officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
