On November 13th, 2024, our beloved uncle, brother, son, William Edward Dickey (Huey) went
to be with the Lord. He was 67 years old and the oldest of 6 children.
Huey was born on April 2 nd , 1957, in Grundy, Virginia to the late Mabel and Frank Dickey. He
led a life full of love, fun, and selflessness. As a child, he was seen helping take care of his
siblings and providing them with laughter and excitement (and stories to tell for the rest of their
lives). He often told stories of him and his siblings as well as times spent riding motorcycles with
his friends. Early in life Huey enjoyed driving a coal truck, and later was a dedicated and selfless
caretaker to both of his parents. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending time with his family
and friends, and cooking.
Huey is survived by his 5 siblings, Angie Counts (Rocky); Patty Lester (Johnny); Chris Dickey
(Andrea); Dave Dickey (Maranda); and Chad Dickey (Hope). He is also survived by his nephews and nieces: Josh DeBusk, Jesse Dickey, Shane Lester, Joey Lester, Brayden Dickey, Lindsay Huffman, Kelsey Wise, Kyla Dickey, Kinley Dickey, Ryli Delgado, Jenna McNeill, Maddie Dickey, and Karly Dickey; as well as his great-nieces and great-nephews: Ella Huffman, Ava Huffman, London Huffman, Easton Black, Noah DeBusk, Greyson DeBusk, Brynlee DeBusk, Ivy Dickey, Mariana Dickey, Caden Dickey, Blake Dickey, Sadie Dickey, Declan Dickey, Ben Lester, Paul Lester, Alston Lester, Jaxon Lester, and Ally Lester.
