Scott McCoy of Abingdon, Virginia passed away peacefully at his home on November 22nd. He was born to Elizabeth and John McCoy of Villanova, Pennsylvania. Scott was single all of his life and is survived by his sisters, Beth Bahel of Duluth, Georgia and Susan Fissinger of Norristown, Pennsylvania, his brother, John McCoy of Abingdon, the spouses of his siblings, five nephews and two nieces. Scott loved and enjoyed being with his extended family.
Scott was born in Bryn Mawr, Pa. He graduated from Harriton High School and attended Franklin Pierce University. He was an auto mechanic for major auto dealerships in Philadelphia, Pa., St. Petersburg, Fl., and Bristol, Tn. He graduated from numerous Ford and General Motors professional mechanic courses. This drove a lifelong passion for classic muscle cars (most recently a member of Cruisin’ Classics Car Club in Abingdon, Virginia). This was his talent and passion.
Scott took a great deal of joy and was a long time devoted fan of his home town national basketball champion Villanova Wildcats, Penn State Nittany Lions, and Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
He loved his extended family and was always willing to help with a broad smile.
Scott will be dearly missed.
